Setting up procedure.
The following assumes that you know how to remove and refit a vibrato unit and carry out the usual tuning and intonation adjustments.
The Ultimate Vibrato unit is supplied in the locked position, as indicated by the small arrow on the screw head, ready to fit and set up.

After fitting the unit to the guitar, and replacing the strings, set the tuning and intonation while it is still in the lock position.
The tremlock (3) only prevents the floating plate from moving upwards, just like the Fender unit, so when tightening the strings the plate may drop slightly.
This will be apparent if the indicator (2) goes down below the surface of the top plate, if this happens you will need to tension the spring by turning screw (1) clockwise using the supplied Allen key.

Next insert the tremolo arm.
This will require a hard push to insert fully into the collet.
When the mark on the arm is aligned with the top of the collet it is correctly fitted as shown in picture B.

It is very important to depress the tremolo arm when locking or unlocking the tremlock otherwise damage will be caused. The indicator must be below the surface of the top plate when turning the screw.

Move the tremlock 1/4 turn to the 'unlock' position, using the supplied Allen key, you will feel it click into position.
When the tremlock is released the floating plate will probably move up so you will need to adjust the tension spring until the indicator is flush with the top plate.
To reset to the 'tuned' position turn the spring adjusting screw anti clockwise to lower and clockwise to raise.

When fitting new strings and or tuning the guitar always depress the tremolo arm till the indicator (2) is below the surface of the top plate and then turn the tremlock screw (3) 1/4 turn to the lock position.
Turn the spring adjusting screw (1) a couple of turns clockwise to tension the spring. Once finished depress the tremolo arm and turn the tremlock screw (3) 1/4 turn to the unlock position. Adjust the spring tension until the indicator (2) is flush with the top plate.
